Alfredo Trejo is originally from Queretaro, Mexico. At the age of 17, he came to the US and has lived in California since then.
Alfredo married his wife, Sylvia, at the age of 24 and they are proud parents to two young girls. Alfredo enjoys spending time with his family and with his church.
Alfredo’s passion for the restaurant industry began as soon as he arrived in California. He started at El Torito restaurant as a dishwasher and quickly moved up the ladder due to his work ethic and cooking skills. He earned the position of Chef de Cuisine. He also worked several years for Taco Mesa.
In 2011, he became part of the Chelas family and again, quickly worked his way up the ladder. Within a few years he became Executive Chef at Chelas Kitchen. In 2022, Chelas Kitchen relocated to San Clemente, where Alfredo Trejo continues to be Executive Chef and is now Operating Partner.
